No other disease has attracted so much hysteria, research dollars and curiosity in this century as Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) / Acquired immunodeficiency Syndrome(AIDS). In keeping up with the mission of compassionate love and service of the congregation, Jyothis Charitable Trust(JCT) provides much needed care and support to PLWHAs,who often come to the centers neglected and abandoned by the family and society. There being no cure, Jyothis aims to maximize quality of life by alleviating pain and distress.
The holistic care approach followed by Jyothis covers person's physical,emotional,psychological,social and spiritual need through our palliative care and outreach facilities. This is the first Care Home in Maharashtra to meet the residential care needs of PLWHAs and the only Community Care Center(CCC) under NACOfor AIDS patients in the entire Raigad district.
